When asked about the rumor that the Hulk will appear in The Avengers, Norton was coy. “I probably won’t comment on that, just because they [Marvel] keep a pretty tight reign on what they are letting out. I’ll let them say,” he replied.
The Avengers isn’t the only upcoming Marvel movie that Norton/Hulk is rumored to be appearing in. According to Nuke the Fridge, Norton “will have a possible cameo [in Iron Man 2] as both Bruce Banner and the Hulk.
Two astronauts awaken in a hyper-sleep chamber aboard a seemingly abandoned spacecraft. It’s pitch black, they are disoriented, and the only sound is a low rumble and creak from the belly of the ship. They can’t remember anything: Who are they? What is their mission? ‘Pandorum’ hits theaters September 18th.
Netflix and Disney-ABC Television Group unveiled a deal Monday that will make several of ABC’s TV shows available for viewing via online streaming.
Hit series that are part of the agreement include the first five seasons of “Lost,” and select seasons of “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Legend of the Seeker.”
Some of the content, including the first four seasons of “Lost,” had already been made available at the beginning of the month. Additional content will be available in subsequent months beginning in September.
“I’ve sketched out two ideas for the next installment,” he told us during the exclusive interview. “Vin and I have decided on one approach of those two, and there’s some interest at the studio level but it would be as a PG-13 film, and we don’t want to do that anymore. That’s one of the concessions we thought we made with ‘Riddick’ that we shouldn’t have made. We also spent too much money and we were too ambitions, so yes, if we do go back to a third one, it will be focused again, hopefully again the same way that ‘Pitch Black’ was, and we’ll spend less money doing it. We’re just trying to figure out how much less we can do it for, because I don’t think Vin is going to work for scale again.”
“The third movie would be more modestly-scaled and it would probably feel more like ‘Pitch Black’ then ‘Chronicles’,” he continued. “It will always be Riddick-centric. If the question is whether it will be more like the first one than the second one…
Actor Kwon Sang-woo may soon be making his Hollywood debut with a role in the upcoming film “The Green Hornet,” Nate News reported last Friday.
Kwon is said to be up for the role of Kato, the Green Hornet’s sidekick ― a role which was originally meant for Chinese star Stephen Chow. Chow was also supposed to direct the film based on the 1930s radio program-turned-comic book, but stepped down in December 2008 due to creative differences and pulled out of the role last July.
I’m also fighting to do the new Mad Max film with George Miller. That might be next summer. I’m screen-testing and meeting George Miller.
Michael Moore, by far the most successful documentary filmmaker of all time, is thinking of getting out of the business of making documentaries. “I have been working on two screenplays over the last couple of years,” he says. “One’s a comedy, one’s a mystery, and I really want to do this.”
The filmmaker will direct as his next film a contemporary adaptation of Mary Chase’s play “Harvey,” about a man and his friendship with an invisible six-foot tall rabbit. 20th Century Fox and DreamWorks will coproduce the project.
“Harvey” was first adapted for the screen in 1950 with James Stewart in the starring role as Elwood P. Dowd.
“Funny People,” which faced a dual marketing challenge as a departure from typical Adam Sandler comedies and from writer-director Judd Apatow’s raunchier laffers, launched respectably at the top of a moderate weekend box office with $23.4 million at 3,008 playdates.
That figure, however, marked the lowest tally for a No. 1 film this summer. The Universal dramedy came in with 23% less box office than the July 10-12 launch of U’s “Bruno.” And the pic finished the frame 23% behind Apatow’s 2007 helming effort “Knocked Up,” which opened to $30.7 million.
Following the news that former Whedonverse member Alexis Denisof will appear in Dollhouse season 2 (and that Summer Glau could likely show up as well), we’ve also learned that members of the Battlestar Galactica cast will be appearing in the new season. Jamie Bamber, who played Lee Adama in BSG, will be showing up as a character “heavily involved” in an engagement according to E! Online. And just a few minutes ago, we learned from Mo Ryan’s Twitter account that Michael Hogan will be appearing in the second episode of the season.
